The Work
Mike has been painting for roughly the past 13 years of his life as a self-taught artist. He tends to favor heavy body acrylics as a medium although he also works with oils. He tends to favor working with un-primed wood panels, although he also works with stretch canvas.
The majority of his productions during the past few years are inspired by minimalism and the hard-edge style found prominent in the 1950 and '60's. He is inspired by photographs, scenes, culture, music, events, travel, and other artists.
